CURRENT CHALLENGES OF FILIPINO WOMEN

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Remains a significant issue, with a substantial percentage of Filipino women reporting experiencing it from intimate partners.

LIMITED POLITICAL PARTICIPATION

Women are under-represented in leadership positions and often face barriers to entering politics, such as societal norms and expectations.

ECONOMIC DISPARITIES

Women's labor force participation is lower than the global average, and they face a gender pay gap, highlighting economic inequalities.

Our Impact

We have engaged Filipino women across various sectors through our empowering advocacies while representing their voices and needs at the Philippine Commission on Women.

Through our six clusters, we develop, organize, and implement activities in partnership with the public and private sector as well as with other non-profit organizations to capacitate, educate, and promote the initiatives of our women-led grassroots communities.

What we do

We enable women across the Philippines to represent their interests and their voices in official government channels of participation while forging networks and partnerships that further capacitate, empower, and develop their potential to make an impact. the

We Build Communities

We capacitate women-organized councils and associations towards enhancing their participation in various platforms of representation and empowerment.

We Represent Voices

We consolidate proposals from our women’s council partners and present them to the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) where we sit as a Member of the Board. We also represent Filipino women in various international organizations and bodies.

We Open Opportunities

We develop and market women-led enterprises to support the economic empowerment and social development of women entrepreneurs and innovators.

We Activate Coalitions

We network with other women organizations and public-private partners to build cross-cutting sectoral alliances that push for women empowering legislation, government programs, and social services.
